DiskMonitor - A Drive Space Watchdog - Seeking Patent

Park City, UT --(BUSINESS WIRE)- DiskMonitor - A Drive Space Watchdog - Seeking Patent -Aug. 15, 2000--m. Victor Janulaitis, CEO of Janco Associates, Inc. (JAI), announced today the release of DiskMonitor*, a utility that network administrators and virtually every computer owner will appreciate.

"Our approach to monitoring drive space usage and notifying users of potential problems is truly unique," stated Janulaitis. "That's why we've applied for a patent. DSM is like a watchdog; it alerts users in a number of ways to potential problems. System Administrators stay a step ahead of space problems when DSM is deployed on a network. "

DiskMonitor alerts users when disk or other storage device capacity exceeds predetermined limits. Anyone who has experienced an "Out of Space" error knows the value of DSM. The utility notifies users via email and an icon display on the user's task bar when a threshold has been exceeded or when resources become unavailable.

Thresholds may be set by the user in bytes, kilobytes, megabytes, and gigabytes or as a percentage of free space. Information regarding space usage is reported by DSM on a screen display. Users can specify which drives/devices are to be monitored and the frequency of the sampling. Sampling can be varied from one minute up to an hour or a day apart. When sufficient data is collected, DSM can graph space usage, which is extremely useful in determining trends. DiskMonitor operates under Windows 2000 Professional or Server and NT 4.0 Workstation or Server.

Janco is making the full version of the software available for a FREE twenty-day trial period. Go to: http://www.cornerbowlsoftware.com and click on download.
