Big Data Skills Pay Well - In Demand IT Pros - With enterprise focus moving towards cloud processed and "big data" the is an increased demand for technical and managerial skill necessary to develop, implement and manage the processes. Added to that is the increased concern for security. As a result individuals with those skills are in high demand and compensation in is high.

Many of the tools utilized are based on the open source version of Apache Hadoop. It is a software library which is the framework that allows for the distributed processing of large data sets across clusters of computers using simple programming models.
